Carrying of Artificial insemination in Cattls for development of high yielding cross bred cattle.

DEVELOPMENTAL SCHEMES

Extension Wing : Conduct of Annual Poultry/Cattle shows and Competitions in yanam region and distribution of prizes.
Maintainance of Hospitals,Dispensary, Yanam and Veterinary First Aid Centres, Kanakalapeta & Darialatippa.

Frozen semen Bank and Calf Rally: Purchase of Frozem Semen, Straws, L.N2 and equipments for A.I. and for conduct of Calf Rally at Veterinary Dispensary, Yanam &First Aid Centres at Kanakalapeta & Darilatippa.

Cattle Inferatility Control Programme:

3 infertility Camps will be conducted in yanam region.
50 infertile animals will be identified & examined and paid cash incentives of Rs.20/- each.

Poultry Development : Layers reared in state poultry farm, Yanam. Eggs & Birds will be sold to public at Govt.approved price.

Elitestock Scheme: Under this scheme high yielding milch animals will be selected and cash incentives paid.

Fodder Development Scheme: Purcahase of fodder seeds like sun hemp Cowpea, Urea etc. and distribute the same to public for growing fodder at subsidized rates.

Calf Rearing Scheme:

The selected calves are insured under master policy where in 50% of premium is paid as aubaidy. All the selected calves are born under Artificial Insemination. Only female calves are selected between age of 4 to 10 months.
Feed will be given to those claves upto 32 months of age from the date of selection. The feed will be distributed at 50% subsity to marginal farmers and at 2/3 subsidy to Agricultural labourers and small farmers.
