III.SGRY
An amount of Rs.101lakhs has been released under this scheme
and rice of 100MT for yanam region. Under this scheme this
office has generated 27,000 mandays upto 28.2.2004. 5kgs of rice
at the rate of Rs.5 (subsidised rate) and with cash of Rs.40/-and
45/-is being disbursed to the women and men and mazdor/day
respectively. Details of mandays generated year wise is given
below

As such schemes of SGRY was well appreciated in yanam region,

IV. MPLAD(LS)
An amount of Rs.25lakhs has been released this year for the
construction of community hall at dariyalathippa. Plans are
finilised. Estimate is technically sanctioned. Expenditure
sanction awaited.

V. IAY SCHEME
In this scheme a total of 903 houses has been alloted to this
region at a total cost of 3.16 crores at various years as
detailed below.

Out of 903 houses, 856 houses are completed in full shape and
beneficiaries are residing in the houses. Remaining 731 houses
are at various levels.This year the target of 65 houses has been
given.

VI. I.R.E.P.
1.Solar Street Lights
This year 10 more solar street lights are proposed in addition
to 17 Nos of last year.
2.Solar Water Heater
A proposal has been sent for 6Nos of solar water heaters which
are proposed to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, SC Boys Hostel and SC
Girls hostel with capacity of 500 LPD. as soon as the work order
issued the same will be completed.
3.Battery Operated Vehicle
One vehicle operated with battery is proposed for yanam
Municipality subject to availability of funds by them.
4.Biomass Cremation Apparatus
A proposal has been sent to install the above apparatus in
hindu burial ground costing approximately Rs.10lakshs. As soon
as the sanction is received the same will completed within this
year.

SGRY
There are 78 self help groups formed and running sucessfully
in yanam region.Out of 78 groups, 38 groups are under
jurisdiction of Indian Bank,Yanam. And remaining 40 SHG' are
under jurisdiction of State Bank of India,Yanam. This department
has released revolving fund of Rs.10,000/- each to all the
SHG's(78Nos) However matching grant of Rs.15,000/- has been
released for 40 groups in State Bank and 22 groups in Indian Bank
and still another 16 groups of Indian Bank has to be received.

The following groups are selected for key activities for the
year 2000-03.

2. Sri Sai Womens SHG, Ganapathinagar

2. Devi Womens SHG, Kurasampeta.
However credit cum subsidy has been issued to one group namely
Lakshminarayana SHG, Dariyalathippa (Milch Animals) by Indian
Bank,Yanam and for other groups II grading also completed and
sent to project office(SE) Pondicherry vide
lt.no.SHG's/BDOY/02.03/377&376 Dt.24.2.03 & 21.2.03 for the
release of subsidy amount. Subsequently the received subsidy
amount was deposited to the banks and the total amount was
disbursed to all four groups.
This office has been conducted various programmes to educate
and to create awareness in key activities. Training programmes
to this effect was conducted in the month of june 2002 by
bringing the readers of Andhra Pradesh SHG's Training Center,
Samalkota. And also the 160 women members of SHG's are sent to
the main training centre in two batches for the purpose. Apart
from this, this office officials are repeatedly encouraging them
to perform or do the business with the groups and several
meetings also conducted in this regard. Even after so many
attempts the groups are still not coming forward for doing the
group activities.
