Shri Malladi Krishna Rao, MLA, Yanam has inaugurated the  Information Kiosk Based  Package for Guide Lines Register of Revenue Department, Yanam, on 18.8.2004. Shri K. Suryanarayana Murthy, Regional Administrator (RA), Yanam, Shri S. Madhusudhana Rao, District Informatics Officer, NIC, Yanam and Shri Dj. Velayutham, Deputy Tahsildar, Revenue Dept, Yanam are also seen here. 

Later, K. Suryanarayana Murthy, RA, Yanam has explained the advantages of this package. He said, people of yanam could now know the value of the land against the Town Survey Number in 8 Revenue Villages of Yanam Region with a finger touch  on the screen . Shri M. Krishna Rao, MLA, Yanam has appreciated the efforts of NIC in bringing this package for public usage.

The package has been developed in both English and Telugu Languages. Guide Lines Register to show the Market Value of the Land in Yanam Region against the Town Survey Number. The package has been designed so user friendly and with just three clicks, a person could know the value of the land for the selected Village, selected Town Survey Number.

As per the directions of the Directorate of Survey, Govt of Pondicherry, NIC, Yanam has designed, developed and entered the data of this package. A team of trainees ie. P. Chinna Rao, Final Year MCA student, J.Eeswara Rao, B.Anusha Rani has developed this package using Visual Basic and Flash as the Front End and SQL Server 2000 as the BackEnd under the guidance of Shri S. Madhusudhana Rao, DIO, NIC,Yanam. Mr. B.S.Chandrasekhar, DIA, and K.Venkateswara Rao, Trainee gave the hardware support in commissioning the Information Kiosk besides  the Staircase of Mini Civil Station, Yanam.

The response from the public is tremendous and daily, we could observe heavy crowd at the Information Kiosk. People are happy that about the package available in their local language 'telugu'. A DIC trainee has been assigned the responsibility of opening, closing and guiding on this package. NIC has given the same support in Voters Data through Information Kiosk earlier in recent Parliamentary Elections to know the voter as the vote in the register or not.
