His Excellency, Lt Governor of Pondicherry, Shri M.M.Lakhera, Hon'ble Chief Minister SHri N.Rangasamy, Hon'ble Minister for Health, Shri E.Valsaraj, Hon'ble MInister for Agriculture Shri A.Namassivaya, Shri C.S.Khairawal, IAS, Chief Secretary and other VIPs came to Yanam on 29.7.2005 for 2 days visit to inaugurate the programmes which cost around Rs. 93 Crores.

On 30.7.2005, His Excellency Lt Governor of Pondicherry has inaugurated the Video Conferencing facility from Yanam to Pondicherry at the chamber of the Regional Administrator, Yanam which is technically supported by NIC, Yanam.
